What is memory packaging.

What is memory packaging

Memory, like processors, is made of small semiconductor chips, and must be packed into something less vulnerable and small to fit into the rest of the system. In many instances, however, chip packages are incorporated in bigger packages themselves. There are many different types of memory packaging currently in the PC world, and the type that needs to be used with a given system design can be difficult to identify.

Different physical packaging contains memory. One unit or a single chip  regarded as a DRAM chip. A group of chips is created when several DRAM chips are taken to a circuit board. The mixture of the soldered DRAM chips in the circuitboard constitutes a memory or memory package. In the motherboard, the memory modules are inserted to create memory chip ranges. There are different modules with its own features and design. There are several different modules.

It is highly probable that your A+ Core Hardware Service
Technician Tests will test your memory modules understanding, including SIMM, DIMM, RIMM etc
